About KBSK

Krishi Bikash Shilpa Kendra (KBSK) is recognized as a Local Authority by the Government of India. In order to provide for a common framework for Urban Local Bodies and strengthen the functioning of the bodies as effective democratic units of Self Government, (Parliament enacted 74th Constitution Amendment) Act, 1992. The Act received the approval of the Hon’ble President on 20 April, 1993. The Government notified 1 June 1993 as the date from which the said Act became operative. By virtue of this act, KBSK became a Local Authority and was approved by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Income Tax, Government of India (PAN Card No. - AAALK0959N) as Local Authority under Section 139 A of the Income Tax Act. 1961.

Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship recognizes KBSK as a Training Partner and NSDC accredited the file in order from PMO. KBSK is the Ministerial partner (TP ID: TP053837) of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Development, Government of India.

The Institution, Krishi Bikash Shilpa Kendra (KBSK) is accredited by NABCB (National Accreditation Board of Certification Bodies), which undertakes assessment of Quality Management System, Government of India. KBSK’s Accreditation Certificate number - One FM - 740786 (NABCB).

Ministry of Commerce & Industry registered Krishi Bikash Shilpa Kendra (KBSK) for Trading and issued Logo for this Institution And (1) Trade Mark No. – 2356236, (2), Trade Mark No. – 235637 and (3) Trade Mark No. – 235638 dated - 29/06/2012 trading as Krishi Bikash Shilpa Kendra (A Unit of National 20-Point Programme (TPP-2006) Implementation), Service Providers, (Single Firm). Trade Mark No. – 2356234, dated -29/06/2012 is registered for Trading as Krishi Bikash Shilpa Kendra (A Unit of National 20-Point Programme (TPP - 2006) Implementation), Service Providers (Body Incorporate).

Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India recognizes Krishi Bikash Shilpa Kendra Implementing & Amp Agency as Service Provider of National 20 - Point Programme (An Enterprise under Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India). Under Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006 (MSMED Act) as per Section 2(e) of the MSMED Act, an enterprise means an industrial undertaking or business concern or any other establishment engaged in manufacturing or production of goods pertaining to any industry as specific in the first schedule of the industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 or engaged in providing or rendering any services. KBSK is registered by MSME- DL03F0004029 by the directives from PMO ID No. PMOPG/D/2019/0322428, dated - 5.09.2019. And Office of the Development Commissioner, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Government of India issued (1) no.1(51)/CLCSS/PMO/2017-18, 473, dated- 21.10.2019. (2) – No. 1(735) / CDD / PG /2017, dated – 15.10.2019. (3) – F. No. 5(6) /2019-20 / MS / Misc. 803, dated – 16.10.2019.

KBSK has nurtured many entrepreneurs by imparting them adequate training and skill development programs as a training partner of the Ministry of Skill development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India. Currently, 250 women are skilled for jewellery manufacturing, courtesy KBSK. Under the MSME, KBSK provides a cluster unit of jewellery manufacturing at Medinipur, West Bengal.

KBSK united 20,000+ rural farmers for development of agro - farming with financial assistance through MSME, Government of India, by getting grant of ₹ 2 million per entrepreneur. Collaborating with NACOF and AMTPL Company Limited, KBSK recently received orders worth ₹ 3.5 billion for export of various agriculture products.

Fisheries is one of the biggest achievements of KBSK. At KBSK, this is a direct revenue - generating model for downtrodden farmers. KBSK handles the production and marketing functions of this vertical.

Under Swachh Bharat Mission, KBSK has provided sanitation in various urban and rural areas. Under Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra, 100 centers in India are handled by KBSK.

KBSK is looking for the “Bring back the Magic once again” - "Garibi Hatao" (Poverty Eradication). Under National 20 - Point Programme under PMO, KBSK is the pioneer authority in India. Projects in pipeline of KBSK include West Bengal IT Hub in Collaboration with STPI, Forty Solar Cities across India and Gati Shakti.
